What I believe.
I believe that the fate of our companies, communities & careers, depend on our ability to build phenomenal teams. And I believe that people love being in phenomenal teams. That they give us a meaningful pathway to connection, creativity, purpose, high-performance and belonging.
But I believe we’re in danger of losing our ability to create phenomenal teams. That our bias for individual talent is blinding us to the exponential value of a phenomenal team. Which is costing us short term and will cripple us down the line.
I believe we all have a responsibility to build phenomenal teams but it starts and ends with leadership. In the emerging economic climate, our focus as leaders must be on the design & development of highly connected, meaningfully engaged, purpose driven teams. Teams that hold one another to account with the REAL conversations, challenge and support each other to grow and stretch for truly remarkable results. Teams that make us feel proud to be a part of.
I believe phenomenal teams are still within our reach and that my purpose is to help you build them. This is the work I love, and the work that matters the most.

What I've Done
Over the last 25 years my obsession with building phenomenal teams & developing legendary leaders has allowed me to make a significant, meaningful & profitable difference to countless high-performing organisations, high-profile CEOs, and high-growth start ups.
From elite sport & global tech, telecommunications, manufacturing & media, I've seen, learned, refined and applied the secrets of some of the world's most successful teams. Yet I still feel like I'm only just beginning. The learning and my love of this work seems to have no end.
Where It All Came From
I've always been fascinated with teams. As a young boy and later a young man, it was watching football in my hometown of Elizabeth, north of Adelaide that triggered this obsession. But it wasn't just the players that inspired me, it was the fans. They were united around a shared purpose, relentless in their pursuit of high performance, willing to stick it out through rain, hail or snow. Win or lose, they believed...
It's this divine passion that still moves me today...
I was fortunate enough to actually play for that football team I would watch every Saturday afternoon, and in fact went on to play, work in and lead a number of different teams across a number of different businesses across a variety of industry sectors since those cold wintry afternoons!
Equally fortuitously, I have made every Leadership mistake imaginable during this wonderful adventure!
It is these learnings that continue to ensure that my frameworks for developing Phenomenal Teams led by Legendary Leaders stay fresh and relevant.
